Safe Boarding and Easy Landing via the Bow Ramp

The bow ramp is a feature that must be experienced to fully appreciate its convenience and safety. Once you’ve tried a bow ramp equipped boat, returning to a boat with a traditional sharp bow shape can feel outright limiting. In both the Faster 545 and the Faster 635 models, the aluminium hull has been carefully designed and crafted to maintain Faster’s well-known smooth handling and outstanding performance, even with the bow ramp in place. The ramp is positioned high above the waterline so that it does not make contact with the water during navigation. This ensures that the driving characteristics and performance in all conditions are top-notch.

Operating the bow ramp couldn’t be easier: simply release the locks at the front of the bow ramp and control it via a switch on the steering console’s control panel. The ramp makes it easy to step ashore and embark anywhere – rocky beaches, low piers or natural harbors alike. The durable, well-crafted aluminium hull also ensures safe operation in shallow waters. Along the 87 cm wide bow ramp it is effortless to load on bikes, wheelbarrows, baby strollers, heavy gear and diving equipment, and is also perfect for safely bringing pets aboard. Bulky equipments are easy to secure in place with the help of lashing points that can be mounted onto the accessory rails (additional accessories) in desired locations along the interior hull sides.

Bow ramps are by no means a new feature to Faster. Ramps of various sizes have been used for many years in Faster’s professional workboats that are trusted by fire departments, police forces, and oil response workers worldwide. Functional Layout with Dual Consoles

The 545 SC features dual steering consoles with a sturdy one-piece door between consoles, offering protection from wind and spray for the driver, co-pilot, and passengers sitting on the stern bench. The starboard console houses the full helm, including meters, switches and a standardly fitted 9-inch Raymarine Axiom+ 9RV chartplotter, while the port-side console provides convenient storage space for small items. Together, the consoles create a secure and comfortable cockpit area without compromising visibility or ergonomics.

The removable 125 cm wide stern bench serves as both seating and storage. It is equipped with a quick drying SmartDeck surface coating for insulation and comfort, a slim Abloy lock mechanism, and a gas strut for easy access. The box can also be removed to open up the stern deck for fishing, cargo, or other activities.

Modular Design for Easy Customization

Like all Faster aluminium boats, the 545 SC is highly modular. Accessories such as seats and seating boxes, anchor and mooring solutions, bow-mounted auxiliary engine mounting brackets, fishing gear, cushions and backrest paddings can be installed using the aluminium rails along the hull without special tools. This flexibility allows the boat to adapt easily between family use, sports, diving, and work tasks.

Comprehensive Standard Equipment

Faster boats are known for being well standardly equipped without including any unnecessary add-ons. The 545 SC is no exception: it comes standardly fitted with e.g. a detachable 125 cm wide stern bench that includes an Abloy lock, a sturdy gas strut and a insulating SmartDeck surface, hydraulic steering, sturdy grab rails, a manual bilge pump and a 9-inch Raymarine Axiom+ 9RV chartplotter with a CPT-S transom transducer.

The standard seats for driver and co-pilot are adjustable and made of durable hard plastic, with the option to upgrade to fully padded comfort seats for enhanced comfort and support. Shock-absorbing seat pedestals are available for harsh and demanding sea conditions, helping to reduce strains on the back.

Reliable Finnish Craftsmanship

Faster boats are designed and welded by hand in Finland, at the Kellokoski factory in Tuusula slightly north from the Helsinki capital area. Constructed from untreated marine aluminium, they endure wear and impact very well. Aluminium also ages well and never goes out of fashion.
